So Isaac has already forgotten the clothing words we went over yesterday. However, he had more success with fruit, probably because there are so many cognates.
바나나 (bahnahnah, banana)
사과 (sagwa, apple)
포도 (podo, grape)
토마토 (tomahto, tomato)
오랜지 (orenji, orange)
수박 (subak, watermelon)
딸기 (ddalgi, strawberry)
Today's phrases were:
배고파 (beh gopa, I'm hungry)
먹어 (muhguh, eat)
다 먹었어 (dah muhguhssuh, I'm all done/finished)
We actually didn't get to the phrases today because we had to rush to get to taekwondo class. But I will get to them tomorrow morning during breakfast, assuming we're not rushing again. :) That said, I think these seven days will morph somewhat. It's impossible to expect a kid to learn so much in a day and retain it, so we will slow the pace down, although I will still post different "lesson plans" for this week and refer to them when it's actually a good time to learn them.
Today, Emi had her hair done by Marysa, the CSULB student we hired to pick her up and play with her in the afternoons. It's not too different from her everyday ponytail, just piled on top of her head. But it made her look so much older, it scared me a little:
Both Isaac and Emi have grown taller and slimmed down quite a bit this summer, and as a result they look so much older. That coupled with the fact that a bunch of people my age are finally popping out babies left and right leaves my uterus quivering to be incubating another baby again. Sigh. Just to illustrate what I see when I look at Emi, here is a baby pic (warning: side effects may include gratuitous baby lust and desire to chomp on legs):
